Thanks for sharing, Laura! As Master Yoda said, “the greatest teacher, failure is.”

But one challenge I think we have in public policy, and in Nebraska especially, is that the incentive to learn from failure in politics is far more limited.

Looking at an issue like property taxes, there may even be an incentive to not learn from failure; to use the issue for political advantage (clearly on both sides), but always make the issue the next person’s problem.
